Walker Group Holdings LLC of New Lisbon, Wisconsin, a portfolio company of Insight Equity, has completed another acquisition-- Garsite/Progress LLC. Garsite of Kansas City, Kansas.
Garsite/Progress manufactures specialized aviation refueler trucks and hydrant carts. Earlier this month, Trailer/Body Builders reported on Walker’s acquisition of Brenner Tank LLC.
Walker Group Holdings originally consisted of the four operating divisions of Walker Stainless Equipment Company LLC: Walker Transport, Walker Engineered Products, Walker Barrier Systems and Extract Technology Limited, making products for the dairy, food, beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical and nuclear industries.
Progress Tank, founded in Arthur, IL in 1922, is a global manufacturer of vacuum and refined fuel tanks constructed of aluminum, steel and stainless steel. In addition to the Kansas and Arthur facilities, Garsite also has a refueler refurbishment and sales operation in Findlay, OH.
Brenner Tank LLC, based in Fond Du Lac, WI, manufactures stainless steel and aluminum tank trailers for the transportation of food, chemical, environmental and petroleum products. In addition to its headquarters and main manufacturing plant in Fond Du Lac, Brenner maintains parts and repair facilities in Mauston WI, Houston TX, Memphis TN, Ashland KY and Gonzalez LA.
The operating management teams at Progress/Garsite and Brenner will remain in place. In addition, the Brenner, Progress and Garsite brand names and technologies will continue to be supported in the marketplace.
