Forecasters have scaled down their outlooks but continue to forecast growth for the commercial truck market.

Four economists speaking at last week’s annual Business and Market Planning Summit shared a common viewpoint—that the economy will continue to grow, but at a slower pace during the next few months.

Speaking at the annual conference were Kenneth Kremar, principal for the Industry Forecast Practices Group of Global Insight; Steve Latin-Kasper, director of market data and research for the NTEA; Eli Lustgarten, senior research analyst for Longbow Securities; and Mustafa Mohatarem, chief economist for General Motors.

A detailed report on this year’s Business and Market Planning Summit will be included in the October issue of Trailer/Body Builders.
