Stellar Industries has announced the sale of the Kiefer line of horse, livestock and recreational trailers in Sneedville, Tennesse to local entrepreneurs David Greene Sr. and David Greene Jr. The father and son currently own and operate Greene’s Trailer & Equipment, and took ownership of the Sneedville facility on December 31, 2015. The plant will reopen under the new ownership as Kiefer Mfg. and Sales LLC.
The facility in Sneedville has been producing Kiefer branded trailers for nearly 15 years, and will now also manufacture all of its product categories in the facility.
“We’ve appreciated working with Stellar Industries through the purchasing process,” said David Greene Jr. “We believe the Kiefer line of trailers has a lot of potential. We strive to focus our business on service, integrity and quality. We stand behind our products, and going forward we plan to be as effective as possible, and to provide a high quality product our customers and dealers can count on.”
Greene Sr. and Greene Jr. hope to begin manufacturing at the start of 2016. A majority of employees will be retained by the organization.
