Online Group, a European logistics specialist, has expanded its fleet with a mixture of 57 trailers from Krone to serve European and international markets.
With significant growth over the last decade, Online Group has developed from a domestic UK transport operation to an international logistics specialist with routes throughout mainland Europe, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and North Africa. New territories have brought with them a wide range of industry sectors and transport challenges.
The trailers recently received from Krone include Profi Liners, Mega curtainsiders, container carriers, Coil Liners, and Cool Liner multi-temperature trailers.
“We run a diverse operation,” said Fleet Manager Conrad Garrett, “and this latest batch of trailers reflects an increasing demand across the wide range of industry sectors within which we operate.”
From depots in Dagenham, Dover and Cologne, Germany, Online provide daily groupage and forwarding services throughout Europe. Therefore, according to Conrad, it is important for the trailer equipment to be certified to DIN EN 12642 (Code XL ) which ensures structural and load retaining strength to a recognized European standard of manufacturing.
“The build quality is good,” continues Conrad, “and no doubt we have the operational flexibility and high residual value which comes with it. However, we were most impressed by the consultative approach of the Krone sales team, who walked us through the specifications and showed a strong understanding of our operational needs.”
