In honor of its partnerships with suppliers, Great Dane hosted its third annual Supplier Summit in Savannah, Georgia, and presented several supplier partners with awards for excellence.
“One of our goals has always been to make Great Dane a company that suppliers want to do business with,” said Dean Engelage, president of Great Dane. “In order to be the best, we have to work with the best, and we believe we have the greatest partners in the business. The Supplier Summit is a way for us to honor our suppliers and recognize the outstanding work they do for us all year long.”
The 2017 award winners include Accuride Corporation in the quality category and Sherwin Williams in the safety category. This is the third year in a row that Sherwin Williams has received this award. The large supplier of the year award was given to Accuride Corporation and the small supplier of the year award went to Manus Products, Inc.
Two new categories were introduced this year as well. The flatbed trailer supplier of the year award was given to CMC Impact Metals and the reefer trailer supplier of the year award went to Earthwise Plastics, Inc.
“Our customers have important goals and they depend on our products to help them meet those goals safely and efficiently. We, in turn, depend on our suppliers to help us help our customers,” Engelage said. “In many ways, the strong performance of suppliers helps Great Dane maintain its position as an industry leader. We thank all of our supplier partners for their continued support and ongoing commitment to excellence.”
