General Body Manufacturing Co. of Houston has opened a location in Arlington TX, positioned to service the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, the Texas Panhandle, and Oklahoma with truck equipment, service, and repairs.
General Body Metroplex opens with a Ford truck pool focusing on cab-chassis-mounted equipment. The 83,000-square-foot facility is at 1801 Timberlake Drive on a 6.7-acre footprint close to the Texas Rangers' and (soon-to-open) Dallas Cowboys' stadiums in Arlington.
Barry White is general manager of General Body Metroplex, and Junior Rodarte is shop superintendent.
Based in Houston, General Body has been doing business in Texas since 1961. Owned and operated by Barbara Paull, the truck equipment division is at 7110 Jensen Drive and the custom manufacturing division is at 6901 Avenue V, both in Houston.
