Fleetmaster Express has added 100 new Wabash DuraPlate trailers to its current fleet, with plans to purchase another 100 new Wabash by the end of 2014.

These additional trailers will allow Fleetmaster to accommodate more freight and service additional customers.

The trailers will be purchased through the Virginia Truck Center and will be added to Fleetmaster’s existing fleet throughout the upcoming year. The trailers are 53-feet long and 102 inches wide featuring wide-base tires with aluminum wheels and patented pneumatic slider pin pull release with push pull release.

"These lighter-weight trailers will help us service our customers even better by allowing us to haul the maximum weight allowed," says Travis Smith, Fleetmaster Express Chief Operating Officer. “We are excited to be getting these top-of-the-line trailers to work in tandem with the 100 new 2014 Freightliner Cascadia trucks we’ve recently added. We believe investing in these additions is appreciated by both our customer base and our driving force.”

Robert Dye, with Virginia Truck Center, said, "I am confident that Fleetmaster will be pleased with the performance of these lighter trailers. Excellent service is a high priority for Fleetmaster and Virginia Truck Center so we’re happy to contribute to enhancing that even more.”
