The National Trailer Dealers Association recently elected two dealer members to serve three-year terms on its Board of Directors.
The 2018–2019 Board of Directors will be installed Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, during the 28th Annual NTDA Convention at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs CO. Dealer and allied members elect new board members each year.
Newly elected directors are:
- Kenneth C. Bumgardner, president, Royal Truck & Trailer Sales & Service (Dearborn MI). Bumgardner is the third generation to run the business since his grandfather started the business and has grown the company from one location with 30 employees to five locations with 150 employees.
- Mark Hall, corporate trailer sales manager, Stoops Freightliner-Quality Trailer Inc (Indianapolis, IN). Hall oversees trailer sales in 23 locations, and parts and service in two locations. Hall previously served on the board from 2015 to 2017 to fill a vacancy.
The NTDA Board of Directors is composed of 12 members, nine elected from dealer membership and three from allied membership.
The 2018–2019 Executive Committee is comprised of:
- John Princing, president, Scientific Brake & Equipment (Saginaw MI) will serve as 2018–2019 Chairman of the Board.
- Joel Hought, trailer sales manager, Northwest Truck & Trailer (Fargo, ND) will serve as First Vice Chairman.
- Geoff Reid, regional director, Hendrickson (Calgary AB, Canada) will serve as Second Vice Chairman.
- Richard Bloomquist, president of North Central Utility of Wisconsin LLC-Madison (Madison WI) will serve as Treasurer.
- Gwendolyn Brown serves as president of the NTDA.
Also serving on the 2018–2019 Board are the following dealer directors:
Charlie Blyth, owner, Blyth Trailer Sales, LLC (Sunset Hills MO); Justin Deputy, president & COO, Utility Trailer Sales of Utah (Salt Lake City UT); Michael Shuemake, president, Central Valley Trailer Repair, Inc (Fresno CA); and Dave Tomasello, executive vice president, Hale Trailer Brake & Wheel (Voorhees NJ).
Trey Gary, president, Dorsey Trailer (Elba AL); and Robert Ulsh, vice president of dealer and international sales, Great Dane Trailers (Savannah GA) will serve as an allied directors.
In October 2018, Chairman of the Board Dale Martens (VP of sales, American Trailer & Storage, Kansas City MO) and Treasurer Jamey Vaughn, (president, Twin State Trailers, Charlotte SC) will retire from the Board. Martens and Vaughn served as dealer directors.
