CURT received a Global Media Award for its new Echo mobile brake control at the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas NV.

CURT, a manufacturer of USA-made hitches and towing products, received a Global Media Award for its new Echo mobile brake control at the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas NV.

The Echo was engineered as the “brake control for the modern age,” CURT said, turning the driver’s smart phone into the brake control interface. It’s portable, compact design plugs in between any standard 7-way RV blade vehicle-trailer wiring connection.

The Echo wirelessly connects to a smart phone via Bluetooth and uses the Echo Smart Control app to monitor all trailer brake activity. Compatible with most Apple and Android phones, the Echo makes it easy to plug in, set up and tow. It also stores multiple vehicle-trailer profiles for transfer between towing setups.

The International News Media Association (INMA) awards companies for breakthrough results, unique concepts and innovative thinking. CURT said INMA called its Echo “one of the best products at this year’s SEMA Show.”
