Williamsen-Godwin wins first state contract

June 16, 2014

Williamsen-Godwin Truck Body Company in Salt Lake City, the newest affiliate of The Godwin Group, has received its first state contract—an order from the State of Montana for stainless steel dump bodies for the coming year.

Formerly operated as Tesco Williamsen, the company at one point filled state and municipal dump body orders throughout the area, including Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming.  Under new ownership by The Godwin Group of Dunn, North Carolina, Williamsen plans to recapture that business over the coming years by major upgrades to its facility and staff.  Godwin is investing $4 million for tooling and facility projects, a project that is now well under way.

Williamsen was purchased by The Godwin Group from GBGH Holdings in April. Williamsen-Godwin Truck Body will manufacture steel and stainless steel dump bodies, salt spreaders, water tankers, and pup trailers for both public and private entities.
