HEM Data Corp. will be an instructor for the SAE seminar Acquiring and Analyzing Data from Sensors & In-Vehicle Networks.

After reviewing the traditional approach of acquiring data directly from sensors, the course will focus on the newer approach of obtaining data from the in-vehicle network for automotive, heavy duty, off-road, and marine applications.

Topics include the complications of taking data from the in-vehicle network and how to overcome them, current trends and applications, wireless data acquisition (Wi-Fi and cellular), GPS, relevant technical standards, and how to simultaneously acquire network data with direct sensor measurements.

Additional topics are PC-based and logger data acquisition. In addition: a practical guide for analysis and presentation techniques along with examples including web-based dashboards.

Those who want this seminar conducted at their location or tailored to their applications should contact HEM Data at [email protected], or call 800-436-4330. The next SAE seminar is May 1-2 in Troy, Michigan.
