Dorsey Trailer has promoted Bradley Bane to vice-president responsible for sales team leadership and general management responsibilities. With a Bachelor of Science in Business from Troy University, he came to Dorsey shortly after graduation and worked his way up to sales manager, a position he has held for the past three years.

Mack Trucks named Kent Thompson regional vice-president for the US Southwest Region. Thompson has served as district sales manager in the Southwest Region for the past eight years. He will continue to be based in Dallas TX.

Heil Trailer International Co announced that John Green has been appointed controller for Gatesville/Integrated Oil and Gas. Green was most recently in corporate senior planning at Alcon Laboratories, based in Fort Worth TX. Heil Trailer announced that Sergey Fayvusovich has been appointed controller for the company’s Athens plant. Most recently, he was director of finance for Brenco.

Spartan Motors Inc has appointed Daryl Adams chief operating officer, and he will report to John Sztykiel, Spartan’s chief executive officer. Adams was most recently CEO of Midway Products Group, a privately held Tier One automotive supplier.

Bob DiPonio has joined Phillips Industries as a consultant focusing the company’s trailer OEM business. DiPonio is a veteran of the commercial vehicle industry, most recently serving as vice-president of OEM sales for Tramec.

Sandra Amador has joined the VMAC quality assurance team and will oversee tasks such as ISO 9001 compliance, strategic planning, and delivery of VMAC’s Continuous Improvement program and Lean systems. She will also streamline and simplify VMAC’s companywide documentation processes. Amador most recently spent 12 years at Praxair Canada as quality standards and validation manager.

 

Obituaries

 

Jörg-Sanders

, international sales director with Fahrzeugwerk Krone, suddenly died while returning from the “European Leaders Freight” annual meeting. He was 66. Since 1982, Sanders served as the company’s international sales director, forming strong international relations for Krone with related federations. He is survived by his wife Jutta, as well as his children and grandchildren.
