Ox Bodies has added Gene Dorsey in the newly created position of Ox trailers sales manager responsible for all sales of Trail Ox Series end-dump trailers. Dorsey has more than 20 years of industry experience, most recently with Clement Industries and Warren Truck & Trailer.

Fontaine Heavy-Haul has hired J Cliff Denson as vice-president of operations, a newly created position. Before joining Fontaine as vice-president of research and development in 2013, he began his transportation career at General Motors. Fontaine Heavy-Haul also has hired John R Smith as a project engineer. Smith joined the Fontaine team as part of the research and development group in January 2014.

Spartan Motors Inc announced that John Slawson has joined the firm as president of the Spartan Emergency Response business unit. He most recently served as president and chief executive officer of Horton Emergency Vehicles, a manufacturer of ambulances and a member company of Allied Specialty Vehicles (ASV). Slawson succeeds Dan Slater as Spartan Emergency Response president.




Randy Reid has joined Maxon Lift Corporation as national account manager and will also be serving as a district sales manager for the Northwest Region. With more than 30 years of industry experience, he previously held several positions as a parts, used trailer, product, sales, and regional manager.

has named Beto Dantas as its new vice-president of marketing, strategy, and innovation, a newly created role. Dantas previously spent almost 10 years in business development, strategy, and innovation leadership roles at Flextronics International, an electronics manufacturing services provider.

Fleet Engineers Inc has promoted Gary Roberts to business development manager. Roberts has been with the firm since 2000 and most recently served as engineering manager. Jason Cantu has been promoted to strategic account manager from his previous role as regional sales manager. Kevin Leandro has joined the company as Northeast regional sales manager. He has a background in the trucking industry ranging from truck sales to owning a small fleet. Fleet Engineers sales veteran Mark Tyler, a regional sales manager since 2003, will manage a larger sales territory that has added Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Tennessee. ♦
