Haleigh Emerson

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc (MFTA) has announced that Bill Lyons has rejoined the company and will serve as vice-president, sales operations, replacing Mike Rumsey. A long-time MFTA executive, Rumsey will be leaving to pursue a management position at a truck dealership, though he will remain in place through the end of 2014 to assure a smooth transition. Lyons first joined MFTA in March 1986, handling dealer operations and marketing. When he left in June 2008, he was director, select sales and vehicle distribution. For the past six years, Lyons has been with ARI Inc as manager of fleet management client services.

Haleigh Emerson has joined truck body and trailer manufacturer Hercules Manufacturing Company as an administrative assistant. Since 2008, she has worked as a veterinary technologist/receptionist at Animal Medical Center in Madisonville KY.

has appointed Duane Yee as sales manager. Associated with the heavy-duty OEM and aftermarket industry since 1977, he most recently served as OE account manager and category manager at Fleetpride Inc.

Gerard DeVito

has named Gerard DeVito vice-president, Technology, Vehicle Group. Based in Galesburg MI, he will report to Ken Davis, president, Eaton Vehicle Group and functionally to Jeff Lowinger, senior vice-president and chief technology officer, Industrial Sector. DeVito began his career at Eaton 27 years ago and most recently served as director, Next Generation Transmissions, North America Truck.

Obituaries

David Xóchihua Sr, the founder of Aztec International Timber & Trading Co of Vancouver WA, died suddenly and unexpectedly at his home October 29, 2014. Before Aztec was incorporated on November 15, 1993, he worked from 1983 to 1993 for Neidermeyer-Martin Co in Portland OR, first as production specialist and then Foreign & Domestic Hardwoods Division manager. At Neidermeyer-Martin, he became involved in the Apitong flooring industry, which he continued in after founding Aztec. Xóchihua attended the 2006 and 2007 TTMA conventions as a representative of Angelina Hardwood Sales, one of the firm’s closest partners. Aztec joined TTMA in 2007 and has been a member since. ♦
