Krone Invests in New Parts Warehouse in Hungary

Krone has significantly expanded its spare-parts capacity at its Budapest, Hungary, location.

Krone has significantly expanded its spare-parts capacity at its Budapest, Hungary, location and is currently converting it to a professional spare parts warehouse with a pallet and crane-arm shelving system.

The new warehouse—located just outside Budapest on the transit route between central and south-east Europe—provides space for all Krone-specific item variants from the whole product range.

"After founding Krone Trailer South East Kft in summer 2012, we have now taken the second strategic step with the new spare-parts warehouse," managing director Hannes Nachtelberger said. "We transferred the set-up, structure and stocking of the spare parts warehouse from the system in Werlte.

“We have established adequate capacity for special spare parts that are frequently requested by customers from Hungary, Austria or other neighbouring countries. We also network closely with the German parent company in Werlte and a clever logistics system ensures that parts are either delivered directly to the customer or us within the shortest possible time.”

In addition to expanding the spare parts warehouse, KTSE Kft has also expanded the sales organization and employed additional sales staff. Via the Hungarian Krone subsidiary, the company will in future not only offer new vehicles but also used and rental vehicles. There is also a pool of stock vehicles.
