HDAD set for Jan. 22

The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), the Heavy Duty division of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), has announced the 6th annual Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue (HDAD) conference will be held on January 22 at The Mirage in Las Vegas, NV, immediately preceding Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week '18.

HDAD is co-presented by the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) and MacKay & Company. The day-long conference is scheduled to be held in the Terry Fator Theater from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

As one of three in HDMA's Heavy Duty Dialogue Series, Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue program will provide insight and a forward look at the heavy duty aftermarket, with an introduction by Tim Kraus of HDMA and Stu MacKay of MacKay & Company, an aftermarket industry forecast by MacKay & Company, and a market and economic update, with financial expert, Bill Strauss, of the Chicago Federal Reserve.

In the presentation titled, "The Global Economy - The Growing Interdependence”, Strauss will provide a focus on the growing interdependence of individual global economies, providing a historical, present and anticipated future outlook in key geographic regions.  He will also discuss what is driving—or hindering—the interrelationship between countries, including the hot-button current topics of NAFTA Renegotiation, BREXIT and the EU impact, if any, as well as the impact of the Korean turmoil on China and what to potentially expect all of these factors to impact the truck industry as we know it today.

Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue features individual presenters and separate distribution executive panel-discussions with primary topics that include:

   • Globalization of the Truck/Transportation Industry & Impact on & Disruption of OEM/Aftermarket Supplier

   • Global Truck OEM Keynote

   • Aftermarket Overview & Outlook

   • Meeting the Parts & Service Needs of Today's Fleets

   • Aftermarket Disruptor - How changes in the OE markets and distributive environments are/will impact heavy duty distributors

Conference registration will include: digital presentation materials; breakfast, breaks, a networking luncheon, and the HDAW'18 All-Industry Reception - all intended to facilitate networking with industry peers. Those planning to attend are encouraged to arrive on Sunday, January 21, to prepare for the conference's start time of 8 a.m. on Monday, January 22.
