Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation plans to begin production of its dedicated-propane S2G vehicles at its plant in Gaffney, S.C., early next month.
This will enable companies to use propane fuel in the bobtail trucks they use to deliver propane.
FCCC, which unveiled the S2G at the 2012 Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, will begin working on a 150-unit order book.
The S2G is powered by an 8L GM block engine modified for dedicated liquid propane operation by Powertrain Integration.
