SikaAxson renames business unit Sika Advanced Resins

Three years after its takeover, a new chapter begins for SikaAxson.

The company is renaming its business unit Sika Advanced Resins, marking a new step in the integration of the Sika Group. The name change is intended to highlight the synergies provided by the Sika Group, a global player in specialty chemicals for the construction and industrial sectors.

“This new identity strengthens Sika Advanced Resins’ positioning in relation to its competitors, as it gives visibility to the activities of the entire group and allows us to better position ourselves in our markets,” said Morten Muschak, head of Sika Advanced Resins.

“Today, the (business unit) is the No. 1 tooling company in Europe and is aiming to become the world leader in the formulation of high-performance epoxy and polyurethane resins for tooling, composites and dielectrics.”

The company said Sika Advanced Resins will benefit from enhanced synergy with the Sika Group’s international network of experts, and the business unit will remain focused on its core businesses of tooling, composites and encapsulation (electrical/electronic), offering customized solutions to its customers worldwide.

Sika, based in Switzerland, acquired French resin maker Axon Technologies in March 2015 and formed the SikaAxon business unit.
