The New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA) selected BOLT Lock as the recipient of the 2018 NEMPA Yankee Supplier Award.
The award goes to automotive suppliers who make significant contributions to the industry, whether by making driving safer, more cost efficient or more enjoyable.
NEMPA hosts the awards annually to recognize manufacturers, suppliers and industry professionals who bring excellence to the automotive industry. NEMPA members selected the winner of the supplier award. The awards are tailored to the automotive needs and tastes of New England drivers.
“All of us at BOLT Lock are thrilled to receive this award,” said Steve Gilles, director of new business development for BOLT. “The technology is a great advancement that makes securing a driver’s valuables simple without any of the headache of searching through to find the right key.”
The supplier award was presented at NEMPA’s annual dinner at the MIT Media Lab in Cambridge MA. BOLT’s “Breakthrough One-Key Lock Technology” is a unique technological advancement allowing every lock in the product line to be specifically coded to a vehicle’s ignition key.
Key-ring clutter is greatly reduced as every cable, coupler, receiver, padlock and more can be locked and unlocked using only the vehicle’s key.
BOLT Locks, which are used by Knapheide, Royal Truck Body and Harbor Truck Bodies, among other body builders, experienced tremendous growth in the six years since the brand came to market, so much so it earned several industry awards. To date, BOLT, a North American Trailer Dealers Association member, boasts the following awards:
