Consolidated Metal Products (CMP), a full-line manufacturer of high-strength, cold-formed u-bolts for light-, medium- and heavy-duty truck and trailer leaf and air spring suspensions, recently was honored by three truck manufacturers.
PACCAR, Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) and Mitsubishi Fuso all presented CMP with awards for quality in their manufacturing process.
“CMP focuses on providing quality, defect-free products to all our customers,” said John Bernloehr, CMP’s president. “We are honored that three of our customers have recognized the care we take during the manufacturing process to ensure our products are of the highest quality.”
CMP was one of 26 suppliers recognized for meeting PACCAR’s 10 ppm standard in 2017, which means they had 10 or fewer defective parts for every million parts shipped to PACCAR. CMP also met performance criteria for on-time delivery and support of the OEM’s operating divisions and its customers.
DTNA selected CMP as one of its elite suppliers to achieve the Masters of Quality Award for 2017, the highest recognition it gives to its suppliers.
DTNA recognizes manufacturers from the US, Canada and Mexico that meet or exceed the company’s quality, delivery, cost and technology requirements, and expectations as measured on a balanced scorecard and that demonstrate an ongoing commitment to improving the quality of their products.
CMP Pratsa, CMP’s joint venture in Mexico, also was honored by Daimler with the Masters of Quality Award for 2017.
This marks the 15th time CMP was recognized by DTNA for its quality efforts and the seventh time for CMP Pratsa.
Mitsubishi Fuso also presented CMP with an Award of Quality 2017 for excellence in zero defects.
