Legacy Equipment Acquires AG Truck Equipment, Truck Box Shop

Legacy Equipment Company has acquired AG Truck Equipment Company, a 65-year old supplier of truck-mounted equipment and specialized vocational trucks, and The Truck Box Shop, a retail store for truck and van storage solutions from AG Body Inc

Legacy Equipment Company has acquired AG Truck Equipment Company, a 65-year old supplier of truck-mounted equipment and specialized vocational trucks, and The Truck Box Shop, a retail store for truck and van storage solutions from AG Body Inc.

The new entities will be combined with Legacy Equipment Rental to form one corporation, Legacy Equipment Company.

AG Body Inc. will continue as an ongoing business, focused on the manufacturing of specialty fabricated products and drawer units. AG Body Inc. and Legacy Equipment Company will operate independently of each other and under separate ownership.

John P. LeRoy, new owner and president of Legacy Equipment Company, is a 25-year veteran of the industrial equipment industry and worked for AG Truck Equipment for more than 20 years. He is a native of Salt Lake City and a graduate of the University of Utah.

The company is a supplier of street sweepers, sewer-cleaning equipment, refuse trucks, mechanic trucks, and snow removal equipment in the Intermountain West. The company represents brands such as Elgin Sweeper Co., E.D. Etnyre Co., Elliott Equipment Co., Heil, Iowa Mold & Tool Co., Oshkosh, Stellar Industries, Swenson Spreader, TBEI, Wausau-Everest, and Vactor Manufacturing. The company also rents hydro-excavators, industrial vacuum trucks, sewer cleaning trucks, and other specialized equipment on a long and short term basis.
