Transit is the modern successor to the Ford E-Series, America’s best-selling van for more than 35 years, first sold in 1961 as Ford Econoline. Ford makes the North American Transit in its Kansas City Assembly Plant in Claycomo, MO. It went on sale in the U.S. in June.
