Peterbilt announced the availability of the Allison TC10 fully automatic transmission on Models 567 and 579 later this year.

The Allison TC10 is designed for tractor applications, such as regional and line-haul, and features a twin-countershaft design optimized for engine downspeeding and fuel economy. The patented torque converter offers industry exclusive engine torque multiplication at launch, enabling lower gear ratios while still maintaining performance. The TC10 will be offered for applications requiring up to 1,850 lb-ft of torque, and up to 110,000 GCW.

“Peterbilt is pleased to partner with Allison to provide our customers additional choices that broaden the availability of driveline configurations to better match their application requirements,” said Kyle Quinn, Peterbilt General Manager and PACCAR Senior Vice President.

The Allison TC10 offers operational ease and versatility, both key benefits that appeal to fleets focused on driver recruitment and retention. These benefits translate into reduced driver training time and cost, lower maintenance cost and increase uptime.

The TC10 has no scheduled maintenance for 500,000 miles, and an industry leading five-year or 750,000 mile comprehensive transmission warranty with no exclusions on individual components.
