New England Freightliner, Western Star dealers create Advantage Truck Group

TriState Truck Center Freightliner/Western Star and McDevitt Trucks with its affiliate, Patriot Freightliner, Western Star, have joined forces to form Advantage Truck Group LLC (ATG).

ATG, with its six locations, creates a comprehensive customer service network across central New England including New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts. ATG is dedicated to provide an unprecedented customer experience to Freightliner, Western Star, and all trucking customers. Their combined 75 years of dedication to New England’s trucking customers will serve to enhance customer satisfaction with a broadened, consistent network across the region.

Effective immediately, Patriot and TriState will operate under Advantage Truck Group with locations in Shrewsbury and Westfield, Massachusetts and Westminster, Vermont. McDevitt Trucks will include its three locations in Manchester and Lancaster, New Hampshire and Tewksbury, Massachusetts in the ATG network. Customers will benefit from a combined workforce of 120 factory-authorized technicians, modern parts call center, expanded delivery network, “Warranty on Wheels,” consistent parts pricing, and credit policies.

In addition, the Shrewsbury and Westfield locations are Elite Support certified with the other locations soon to follow. Elite Support is a program unique to Freightliner and Western Star that requires dealerships to undergo a rigorous continuous improvement process to ensure the highest of standards in service and efficiency.

Kevin Holmes, currently president of TriState, will lead ATG as president and CEO. Jack and Kevin McDevitt will continue to lead McDevitt Trucks. The three principals are joined by their 300+ employees.

“The Advantage Truck Group combines two of the best truck dealers in the New England area that have been in business for decades working to provide Freightliner and Western Star customers the support they need,” said Kevin Holmes, president and CEO, Advantage Truck Group. “By combining our strengths, the customer will be the big winner from this partnership.”

“The Freightliner and Western Star dealer network is stronger from the joining of these dealers. Both have long-standing reputations of providing outstanding customer service and delivering real value to their customers,” said Martin Osborne, GM Distribution Network Development, Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA). “DTNA is excited for the synergies this partnership creates for our mutual customers in New England.”
