Class 8 retail sales rose 6% month-over-month to their best reading in six months at 23,100 units, according to the latest State of the Industry report released by ACT Research Co. (ACT).
Class 5-7 retail sales rose nearly 14% month-over-month to 20,100 units, their highest level since March 2007.
Year to date, Class 8 sales are up 9% and Classes 5-7 sales are up 13%.
“The strongest sales months of the year are yet to come,” said Steve Tam, vice president-commercial vehicle sector at ACT Research Co., LLC.
