AM General Awarded $151 Million for HMMWV Sales and Service

AM General has been awarded new HMMWV contracts and modifications to existing domestic and international contracts for vehicles and parts for Afghanistan, Ukraine and the United States National Guard and Reserves totaling $151,051,833.

AM General has been awarded new HMMWV contracts and modifications to existing domestic and international contracts for vehicles and parts for Afghanistan, Ukraine and the United States National Guard and Reserves totaling $151,051,833.

The recently announced contracts noted above cover items to include new production vehicles, automotive kits, spare parts and training.

For Afghanistan, the company will supply 360 M1152A1B2 HMMWVs and 73 M1151A1B1 HMMWVs.  For the Ukraine, the company will provide 40 M1152 HMMWV Ambulances. For the National Guard and Reserves, the company will provide 237 additional M997A3 HMMWV Ambulance Vehicles.

There are approximately 230,000 HMMWVs currently in vehicle fleets around the world.
