Workhorse Parts completed an expansion of its warehousing operation in Reno that will improve its response time to West Coast customers.

The Reno warehouse now stocks the most frequently requested parts by dealers and service personnel -- representing more than 70% of all replacement-part requests made to the company.

Workhorse Parts is the parts division of Grand Vehicle Works Holdings, LLC, the holding company that owns Workhorse Custom Chassis, a manufacturer of platforms for recreational vehicles and walk-in trucks.

"We formed Workhorse Parts in 2002 to provide the best service possible for dealers and consumers," said Chuck Kosmin, president of Workhorse Parts. "By expanding the West Coast warehousing operation, we improve delivery times, which allow dealers to provide better service to their customers. Fast delivery of parts and service is another way dealers can make customers for life."

Workhorse maintains a 120,000 sq. ft. warehouse, call center and management offices at its West Chicago, IL, location. Its hours of operation are 7am to 6:30pm CST, making it convenient for dealers on either coast. Products stocked in the Reno facility can be ordered for next day delivery to West Coast dealers up to 4pm PST.

The expanded warehouse operation is the latest upgrade in the Workhorse Parts operation. Over the past year, the parts operation has achieved an excellent fill rate of more than 93%. It also introduced an electronic parts catalog through the Workhorse Web site, as well as VIN specific parts books for dealers and customers.
