Wabash National Corporation and Transcraft Corporation have formed a partnership to sell a series of new flatbed and drop deck trailers. In all, eight models -- available in various all-steel or steel/aluminum compositions -- are being distributed exclusively through Wabash National Trailer Centers, the Wabash network of factory-owned branches.

According to Bryan Langford, vice president of Wabash National Trailer Centers, the trailers will be marketed under the Wabash brand name. Transcraft will manufacture the trailers at its facilities in Anna, IL and Mt Sterling KY.

In the United States and Canada, there are 31 Wabash National Trailer Centers (WNTC) locations.

"We're pleased to join with Transcraft to make these products available to our customers," said Langford. "In addition to serving as the perfect complement to our existing line of products, it's a decision that is consistent with our strategy to provide an even greater degree of support for fleets and owner operators alike.""We're pleased to have the opportunity to make it available to their customers," said David de Poincy, Transcraft's president and chief operating officer.Until recently, Wabash National had not included flatbed trailers as part of its product offerings, following a decision in 2001 to close its manufacturing facility in Scott County TN.
