Wabash issues revised order backlog report

Wabash National Corp has announced that a recent report of an order backlog for 19,000 trailers worth an estimated $280 million was premature. The announcement included orders that were not yet confirmed in writing by customers or were not in the company's production schedule over the next 18 months. Wabash has a policy of reporting only confirmed orders. A discussion of the order backlog will be included in a review of year-end financial results to be held March 6, 2002. Financial data is scheduled for release after markets close March 5.
