Wabash National Corp has announced results for the three and 12 months ended Dec 31, 2001.
Net sales in fourth-quarter 2001 were $166.6 million, compared with $274.8 million for the same period in 2000. Net loss for the 2001 quarter was $134.9 million, compared with a loss of $28.4 million for the same period in 2000.
For the year ended Dec 31, 2001, net sales were $863.4 million compared with $1.3 billion for 2000. Net loss for 2001 totaled $232.2 million, compared with a net loss of $6.7 million in 2000.
The company has reached an agreement in principle with its banks and senior noteholders to refinance its revolving line of credit and senior notes. Refinancing will provide Wabash with a new two-year commitment on its debt.
