Freightliner LLC has announced that Rich Ferguson, general manager of acquisitions and operations for Freightliner Market Development Corp (FMDC), the firm's used-truck business, has been named FMDC president. He replaces Bill Gordon, who is departing to work full-time on a “significant” project for Freightliner.
Timpte Inc has appointed Doug Scheible president and chief operating officer. He served the past two years as Timpte executive vice-president, and he succeeds Ken Allred, who remains the firm's chief executive officer. Timpte presented its Award of Achievement for 2005 to Greg Aerts of the sales branch in Sioux Falls SD.
Greg is a 25-year employee of Timpte and handles sales for South Dakota and southwest Minnesota. For 2005, the winner of Timpte's top sales award, the J E “Jim”Lakin Award of Distinction, is Mike Gabeline of its Mt Pleasant IA branch. A five-year Timpte employee, he handles sales for southeast Iowa and northeast Missouri.
David Baratti has been promoted to vice-president — sales and marketing for Heil Environmental. To assume many of Baratti's previous duties, Rich Bout has been hired as director of North American sales. Baratti previously was vice-president-North American sales, and Bout most recently worked for Autocar LLC as director of national accounts.
Stuart James is the new vice-president of sales for Hyundai Translead. He previously served in vice-president-level positions in companies such as Heartland Rig, HPA Monon, and Oshkosh Truck Corp.
Dr Frank Albers has been appointed head of marketing of Fahrzeugwerk Bernard Krone AG. He previously worked for the company as sales manager for Central and Eastern Europe.
American LaFrance LLC has hired Jim Rogers as vice-president of vocational sales and marketing. Most recently, he was vice-president of sales in North America for Heil Environmental with responsibility for distributor, direct, and national account sales in the refuse and dump body industry.
