The Timken Co has been recognized as a certified supplier by Landoll Corp, a Marysville KS-based manufacturer of trailers, forklifts, and agricultural machinery.
The award, issued by Landoll's purchasing department, acknowledges Timken as an excellent performer in various supply chain functions including customer service, quality, and ontime delivery. This is the first time Timken has received the award.
For the past three years, Landoll has implemented this program with suppliers. To become a certified supplier, a company must have both a minimum 95% on-time delivery record and 99% quality rating. Quality ratings are determined by comparing orders with actual shipments. Suppliers must also demonstrate a strong customer service function as part of the rating system.
Points are awarded in each category, with a maximum of 100 points available. Timken earned 95.3% for on-time delivery and 99.75% for quality in supplying tapered roller bearings.
