Sterling Truck Corp has introduced updates to its car hauler offerings, including HX Chassis enhancements and several components such as the MBE4000 engine.

Sterling Truck Corp has introduced updates to its car hauler offerings, including HX Chassis enhancements and several components such as the MBE4000 engine. These enhancements are available beginning in summer 2004.

Designed for on-highway and vocational applications, the MBE4000 engine is one of the strongest and lightest engine in its class, and comes standard with an exhaust brake with no additional weight penalty. The lightweight 12.8-liter engine offers high horsepower ratings, and uses advanced materials and components to achieve an excellent power-to-weight ratio.

Sterling's updated car hauler also features:

  • A 95" overall ground-to-cab unladen height, the shortest height provided without an undesirable cab modification

  • A 101" BBC, the shortest hood length in the industry

  • A 5" dropped front axle with a new-design lowered front suspension

  • 10- and 13-speed transmission options

  • A standard 1,400-square-inch radiator

  • Standard 80-gallon rectangular aluminum fuel tanks
