The program gives customers the choice of three popular specs and several options on the Sterling Acterra and a quick and convenient way to order a Heil body at the same time.

The dump trucks feature an MBE900 engine and an Eaton Fuller 9-speed transmission, which have been specifically designed for Class 6 and 7 markets in the U.S. and Canada. In addition to the availability of several options, the trucks are equipped with a Heil SL 10-foot body in red or black, complete with integral cab shields.

"We are very pleased to announce this new arrangement with Heil Environmental," said John Merrifield, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Sterling Truck Corporation. "This program gives our customers the truck and options they need at the best price and allows us to further enhance our vocational offerings."

Available specs include a Class 6 Acterra with a 6.4-liter 250 hp MBE900 engine and an Eaton Fuller RT-8608L 9-speed manual transmission. In addition to the Class 6 option, two Class 7 spec packages are offered including an upgraded 23,000-pound rear suspension for increased durability; and an additional 12,000-pound front suspension for more durability and an optional 10,000-pound front axle and 23,000-pound rear axle.
