Rostra Precision Controls Inc has signed a deal with General Motors Isuzu Truck LLC for delivery of a minimum of 9,000 cruise control units in the first year of the contract. Under terms of the deal, Rostra's cruise controls are now available for all Isuzu N-series trucks and General Motors W-series trucks for an unlimited duration. A 30% penetration rate for these vehicles is anticipated for the first year of the contract.
Rostra's contract is the company's first agreement to supply accessories for an original equipment midsize truck manufacturer. The cruise control units can be ordered at the dealership at the time the vehicles are purchased for both Isuzu and GMC trucks. While professional installation is recommended, cruise controls can be installed either at the dealership or by a fleet maintenance technician. The units carry Rostra's three-year or 36,000-mile guarantee regardless of the installer.
