The International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) has been ranked the number one trade show of 2000, according to Tradeshow Week magazine. At 1,415,848 net square feet, IMTS was 160,211 square feet larger than the number two entry, the National Hardware Show and National Building Products Exposition.

IMTS moved into the top spot after capturing the number three ranking in 1998 and number four in 1996.

Each year the Tradeshow Week 200, now in its 27th annual edition, ranks the top 200 trade shows in the United States and Canada by net square feet of paid exhibit space.

The show sponsor is AMT — The Association for Manufacturing Technology, and the next IMTS will take place Sept 4-11, 2002, again at Chicago IL's McCormick Place. For more information, access www.IMTSNET.org.
