The Timken Co has introduced Timken Debris Solutions, a program featuring a debris-resistant bearing that uses proprietary manufacturing processes to extend bearing life, reduce downtime, and optimize performance in harsh environments.
Debris contaminants can reduce bearing life and performance by damaging rolling contact surfaces. Although standard Timken case-carburized tapered roller bearings provide superior performance in minimizing the impact of debris, the new debris-resistant bearings have been shown in lab tests to increase performance up to two times over the standard line of Timken #61650 tapered roller bearings.
