Richard W Russell died November 4, 2011 after a brief illness. He was 82. As president and chief technical officer of James Russell Engineering Inc, he was an innovator and developer of cryogenic trailers. His technical expertise spanned many disciplines from aluminum fabrication to vacuum technology to the commercial production of cubic zirconia crystals. Russell was the fourth-generation owner of Russell Engineering. In 1959, he transitioned the company from a pressure vessel and process equipment manufacturer to one of the original cryogenic trailer manufacturers. His daughter Elizabeth and son Rick will now become more active in the family business. The current management and personnel of Russell Engineering, led by David Hahn as general manager, will remain unchanged.
