As of May 27, 24 National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) members had achieved Member Verification Program (MVP) status since the program was initiated earlier in May.

Member companies that achieve verification status will be announced quarterly (July 1, Oct. 1, Jan. 1 and April 1) in NTEA News, on NTEA.com and in the NTEA.com Insider. Qualified members will also be recognized in the 2006 NTEA Membership Roster & Product Directory.>

The NTEA will heavily promote the value of MVP qualification to truck OEMs, truck dealers and fleets through an extensive public relations campaign.

Qualified members receive a letter and a certificate of achievement suitable for framing as well as a “Qualified as an NTEA Verified Member” logo slick. The logo may be used solely by qualified members on advertisements, literature, business cards, Web sites, and the like.

This exclusive program offered by NTEA is designed to recognize members that have implemented minimum business processes and have taken steps to comply with certain government regulations.

The application process is simple: Distributor and manufacturer members are asked to complete an application form and attach required documentation, which likely will take no more than 30 minutes. After reviewing applications and documentation, the NTEA will notify applicants of their status.

If you have any questions, please contact the NTEA Technical Services Department at 1-800-441-NTEA (6832), or e-mail [email protected] (be sure to include “MVP question” in the subject line). Also, the NTEA will publish its Sales, Productivity, Earnings and Quality (SPEQ) Plan Manual this fall to provide members with a better understanding of important business tools, many of which support the requirements of the MVP.

To request an MVP and “Program Criteria” application, please contact NTEA Meetings and Member Services Coordinator Jenelle Warner at 1-800-441-NTEA (6832), ext. 136, or download them from the “Free Downloads” area on NTEA.com .>
