The deadline to participate in the NTEA 2004 Distributor Compensation Survey has been extended to March 15.

The NTEA has joined more than 30 other trade associations in sponsoring the largest cross-industry compensation study ever conducted. It is anticipated that approximately 2,000 firms will participate. With such a large sample, NTEA Distributor members will receive a wealth of information about compensation levels and benefit programs.

One of the major challenges facing business owners is establishing a fair and adequate system for employees. If compensation is too low, the company cannot attract and keep qualified personnel. If compensation is too high, profit tends to suffer.

Questionnaires were mailed to NTEA Distributor members in early January and are due back to Profit Planning Group, an independent research firm. All information in the survey is confidential. No member of the NTEA staff will have access to any of the information; only aggregate data is published.

Participation in this important benchmarking survey is open to NTEA Distributor members. There is a $50 participation fee. Participants will not be billed until the final results report is published. The results will be available to nonparticipants for $110 members; $200 nonmembers.

To request another copy of the survey, call NTEA Communications Manager Laura Heidrich at 1-800-441-NTEA, ext. 116 or e-mail [email protected].
