The Construction Industry Manufacturers Association (CIMA) annual product safety seminar is set for Aug 5-7, 2001, at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Milwaukee WI.
“What is Your Weakest Link?” is the theme of the seminar, targeted to manufacturers' product safety and risk managers, design engineers, and technical managers.
This year's seminar will feature the return of the product liability mock trial. The event will be held in a courtroom at the Milwaukee County Courthouse and features actual litigation involving a scraper and interactive audience polling.
At the seminar, speakers will offer strategies and advice on design and liability issues of guarding, interlocks, and emergency stops. The seminar will feature presentations on controlling liability for rental equipment, ergonomics, online training, and service report communications.
