McClain Industries has announced an agreement in principle to purchase all of the outstanding capital stock of Benlee Inc. The purchase is subject to, among other matters, due diligence being completed before the definitive agreement is accepted and signed.
Benlee manufactures roll-off trailers used in the scrap metal industry. It also sells roll-off containers to the scrap and refuse industries. Revenues for its fiscal year ended Sept 30, 1999, were about $12 million.
With sales of $140 million, McClain manufactures solid-waste handling equipment and transportation equipment, as well as a line of dump truck bodies.
