Kenworth Truck Centres of Ontario has expanded its customer support with a new facility in Lively, Ontario, that’s twice as large as its former location and provides enhanced service, easier accessibility and a wider selection of new Kenworth trucks.

A member of the Kenworth dealer network of nearly 300 locations in Canada and the United States, the new Kenworth Truck Centres facility in Lively, Ontario, is on a 3.5-acre site, which includes a 20,000 square-foot building with five drive-thru service bays, a larger parking lot and easier freeway access. The new location also includes an additional smaller service bay dedicated to providing Kenworth PremierCare Express Lube and AC preventive and maintenance care services.

“Our new facility in the Sudbury area is located on a larger property, so we can offer a wider selection of Kenworth T800s, a popular model among many companies involved in mining and lumber production,” said Vince Tarola, dealer principal at Kenworth Truck Centres of Ontario’s head office in Concord. “Also, we can offer drivers more room to park and maneuver their trucks. Its proximity to Highway 17, the Trans Canada Highway, and Highway 55, one of the main truck routes crossing Ontario, makes it easier for drivers to find.

“Since the service bays are drive-through, and because we have a bay that’s dedicated for express services, our employees can spend less time moving trucks around in order to service them,” Tarola added. “This means we can get our customers back out on the road sooner.”

Kenworth Truck Centres – Sudbury has an indoor showroom for customers to comfortably view a Kenworth model and a driver’s lounge with work space. The parts department has 4,500 square feet of storage and 2,000 square feet of display area, allowing the dealership to offer more parts on hand for its customers. The parts department offers parts delivery into Sudbury and the outlying areas.

Tarola said the new location will also have room to keep a large selection of Kenworth’s new medium-duty trucks, particularly the Class 6 Kenworth T270 and Class 7 Kenworth T370, which he believes will be popular models among local pick-up and delivery companies.

Kenworth Truck Centres – Sudbury is located at 199 Mumford Drive, Unit E, off Highway 17 and Highway 55 on the southwest side of Sudbury, about 5 miles west of its previous location. The dealership is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. The phone number is 705-692-9400. The dealership recently held a grand opening celebration and open house. It also plans to hold customer clinics on a regular basis.

Kenworth Truck Centres of Ontario also operates eight other locations, which are in Barrie, Bowmanville, Cambridge, Concord, Hamilton, Kitchener, London, and Mississauga.
