Kenworth of Buffalo recently opened two new full-service facilities that offer customers a large selection of new Kenworth trucks and enhanced service while providing plenty of truck parking.

A member of Kenworth’s dealer network of nearly 300 locations in the United States and Canada, Kenworth of Buffalo will serve a wider range of customers with its new Rochester and Syracuse area locations.

“The Kenworth T800 and Kenworth W900 day cabs for vocational applications, such as dump and refuse, will be particularly popular among customers in the Rochester and Syracuse area,” said Dan Penksa, vice president and general manager for Kenworth of Buffalo.

Kenworth’s expanded line of medium-duty trucks will also extend Kenworth’s well-established reputation for reliability already established with its Class 7 and Class 8 trucks. “We think that Kenworth’s Class 6 trucks will be popular because of a recent change in New York statutes allowing drivers without commercial driver’s licenses to operate trucks equipped with air brakes weighing up to 26,000 pounds,” said Penksa.

The 25,000 square-foot Kenworth of Buffalo - Rochester facility is on six acres of land five miles north of the New York State Thruway (I-90) and near the I-409 and I-309 interchange.

“The new Rochester facility will be much easier for drivers to maneuver since it has a significantly larger parking lot,” Penksa said. “We’ll also be able to keep more parts on hand for customers’ trucks with a 7,000 square-foot parts warehouse, or three times the warehouse size at our former location. This new parts warehouse, one of the area’s largest of its kind, will also serve as the warehouse for our Lackawanna and Syracuse area locations.”

Kenworth of Buffalo’s new 7,800 square-foot Syracuse area location in Liverpool is on 5-1/2 acres of land just north of the New York State Thruway (I-90). “We believe that more businesses in the area will look at buying Kenworth trucks now that we offer maintenance service at the Liverpool location,” said Paul Bien, general manager of Kenworth of Buffalo - Syracuse. “Our new facility here is conveniently located in the middle of a prime industrial area with manufacturers, contractors and other businesses in the vicinity that could benefit from the low operating cost and legendary durability of Kenworth trucks.”

Kenworth of Buffalo-Rochester offers 10 service bays with room to service 18 trucks at once, while the Kenworth of Buffalo-Syracuse location includes four service bays and can service nine trucks at once. Both facilities have one bay dedicated for Kenworth PremierCare ExpressLube and Kenworth PremierCare Express Air Conditioning services, offer parts delivery service, and have room to add additional service bays and retail space as business grows. The two facilities also include a comfortable lounge and waiting area with large flat-screen television, vending machines and ATM, and wireless Internet access for drivers to unwind or catch up on correspondence while their trucks are being serviced.

During the week, Monday through Friday, Kenworth of Buffalo - Rochester at 25 Airport Drive, is open from 8 a.m. to midnight, and Kenworth of Buffalo - Syracuse at 4 Lumber Way, is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Both locations are open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The phone number for the Rochester location is (585) 698-2940 or 1-800-550-5760. The phone number for the Syracuse area location is (315) 399-1400, or 1-800-211-2580.
