Kenworth of Buffalo Opens Facility in Albany Area

Kenworth of Buffalo has opened a full-service, 30,000-square-foot facility for the Albany area in Colonie, N.Y., that is easily accessible from the U.S. Interstate 87 and 90 interchange.

The facility is located on 5 1/2 acres at 5 Fritz Blvd. in Colonie. It joins a Kenworth dealer network of more than 310 locations in the United States and Canada. The dealership features a unique shop design with six drive-in bays along with two drive-thru bays. The service department has the capacity to work on 18 tractors simultaneously. One bay is dedicated to providing Kenworth PremierCare ExpressLube services.

The 800 square-foot parts show room is complemented with a 4,000-square-foot parts warehouse to provide excellent parts availability. The new location also offers parts delivery service and a comfortable drivers’ lounge.

“Kenworth of Buffalo is dedicated to providing outstanding support to customers at our four facilities in New York state,” said Dennis Dintino, dealer principal of Kenworth Buffalo, which also operates locations in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, N.Y. “With this latest expansion, we’re pleased to bring quality Kenworth trucks, parts and service to truck fleets and operators in the Albany area.”

“This new location near the U.S. Interstate 87 and 90 interchange is less than a mile from the Central Avenue exit off of Interstate 87, and also offers convenient access to the New York State Thruway,” said Richard Cone, branch manager for Kenworth of Buffalo – Albany. “Our new facility sits on a large area with plenty of space for truck drivers to manuever and park their trucks and trailers. The park-like surroundings make the new location an attractive place. And the unique shop layout gives our service department a more efficient workspace, which means faster service for our customers.

Kenworth of Buffalo - Albany is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The phone number is 518-213-3211. The service manager is Bryan Winters and the parts manager is Jim Chamberlin.
