Art Richardson, recently retired vice-president of sales for Peterson Manufacturing, was presented the Transportation Safety Equipment Institute's “Larry Henneberger Lifetime Achievement Award” during its member meeting in Ixtapa, Mexico recently. Richardson was honored for his dedication to the vehicle lighting industry and for being a long-time member of TSEI, serving as its president from 2002 to 2004. Don Armacost, president of Peterson, also recognized Richardson for 42 years of service to the company.

John Wall, Cummins vice-president and chief technical officer, has been elected to the National Academy of Engineering. The academy honored Wall for his “leadership and management of research, design, development, and production of low-emission, fuel-efficient heavy-duty diesel engines.” Wall joined Cummins in 1986 as an engineer in its Engine Business and has led the firm's worldwide technical organization since March 2000.
