Highway Equipment Company acquires Flow Boy

Highway Equipment Company (HECO), the leading manufacturer of highway maintenance equipment and multi-purpose agricultural spreaders, announced today that it has completed its acquisition of the Flow Boy Manufacturing division of Dan Hill and Associates, a manufacturer of processed road building materials transporting equipment.

The acquisition of Flow Boy will provide customers additional opportunities for road maintenance material hauling equipment. With the acquisition, HECO will meet a wider set of customer needs and have a significantly greater opportunity to diversify its ever-expanding product line.

"Flow Boy has an excellent reputation in the industry and the line is a natural fit with our existing products," said Matt Rissi, chief executive officer of Highway Equipment Company.

"In addition, the completion of this acquisition represents a significant step in our strategy to expand into new markets. Coupled with the strength of our Hi-Way brands, we now have a greater presence in key markets - where we see significant opportunities for growth, as well as greater coverage in several targeted areas."

Since 1939, Highway Equipment Company has been the leader in the manufacturing of multi-purpose spreaders and road maintenance equipment under the New Leader and Hi-Way brands. The company's extensive distribution base serves customers in several countries.
