GGS Information Services of York PA, a provider of technical information management services, has developed a custom parts database system designed for Great Dane Trailers of Savannah GA, a division of Great Dane Limited Partnership. Great Dane was to launch the database system in January 2002.
The company said the creation and deployment of an illustrated parts database per serial number will incorporate all parts that comprise the firm's complete product line of refrigerated-, dry freight-, and platform-style trailers. This system will allow either a Great Dane branch location or authorized distributor to access the correct parts information, which will lead to quicker turnaround times for service and repair, while improving efficiency in obtaining parts.
