FMA, TPA Issue Wage and Benefits Survey

The Fabricators & Manufacturers Association International (FMA) and its technology affiliate, the Tube & Pipe Association International (TPA), have released their 2005 Metal Forming and Fabricating Industry Wage & Benefits Survey. This biennial report on compensation for shop floor employees provides data on more than 80 job shop titles in all technology sectors of the metal forming and fabricating industry. Companies can compare their pay rates and compensation policies with those of other employers by region, company size, and company sales volume.

FMA and TPA members were asked to participate along with subscribers to FMA's publications, The FABRICATOR, TPJ — The Tube & Pipe Journal, STAMPING Journal, and Practical Welding Today. Responses from 243 companies nationwide reported hourly rates for 13,227 employees. Participating companies also disclosed details on 40 benefits.
