Douglas Dynamics LLC has acquired the Blizzard Corp's line of snowplows. The Blizzard brand includes truck and skid steer-mounted snowplows, including the expanding Blizzard Power Plow snowplow and a line of straight blade plows and accessories. Blizzard products are sold through a network of dealers across the United States and Canada.
Through its Western and Fisher brands, Douglas manufactures snow and ice control equipment for pickup trucks. It has manufacturing facilities in Milwaukee WI, Rockland ME, and Johnson City TN. Douglas is owned by Aurora Capital Group and Ares Management LLC, private investment firms based in Los Angeles CA.
